What do we expect Benambra to look like?
Bill Tilley has held the seat for 20 years and is retiring. He won by 0.9% against independent Jacqui Hawkins in 2022, but she's announced she won't be running this year. Given that this is also across the border from Farrer and Liberals will have to fight to keep their base on board with a new candidate, I'd be arguing that One Nation or a new independent will win here.

Lachlan McKeeman is running as an independent. He doesn't have the profile that Jacqui Hawkins had but the seat clearly has support for independents at a state and federal level. That voting base doesn't really align with one nation but the drop in liberal support could have some interesting implications. I'd say liberal at this point.
